KYOCERA Museum of Art
Built in 1933 by architect Maeda Kenjiro, the main building of the museum is the oldest among Japanʼs existing public art museums. Exhibitions are a bit ecclectic, ranging from intriguing contemporary work, to somewhat demure collections and retrospectives, and the occassional populist Hello Kitty-esque blockbuster.
Located just south of Okazaki park, it’s close to a number of other attractions, such as Heian Jingu shrine or Keage Incline. Skip the zoo.
